PSII-PSIII and early 4D
The Gamemode 4 Server had a form of update video created by Moderator Misode. These were made using the replay mod and can be found here. They hold no association to the project but could be considered the earliest form of sharing what had been going on the server.
The 4D Era
The 4D era of news originated with a projected called "The Fourth Perspective". The main gimmick was handing out papers in the form of written books and have them distributed over the server. To quote the original history article on the original blog:
The 4th Perspective was founded by Kyrkis and RedstoneLogic. Both were active players on Gamemode 4D and established the paper as a way to share fake news - a poignant topic at the time in 2018.
The paper soon evolved away from this initial aim with players reporting actual news. The method was streamlined and players submitted articles to a Discord server. This continued for a while in Written Book form within the game, and lead to approximately 12 editions. This was carried on via several leaders: Kyrkis, DroDo, and ToffeeMax, changing hands as players left or moved on.
As this continued, 4D had a drop off in core players and the project dwindled. With the aim of maintaining and creating articles easier, the project moved online under the same name. This dwindled dude to lack of interaction and action from after the move.
During the start of Public Server V, the project continued on in the background but subsided.
The PSV Era
After the death of the previous project due to inactivity and a new server, news updates as a concept was the main project.
Over time, Server Member Sandur_ produced short image compilations dubbed "Gamemode 4 Funnies" which caused mainly confusion due to their seemingly random choices of screenshots but were an unusually good and easy way of compression activity on the server. Sandur_ later started to produce news based images to a mixed reception and this project was created (by ToffeeMax and Sandur_)
The project moved on to a blog (due to the previous easer with The Fourth Perspective) where writers would create a weekly update on the events of the Public Server and Gamemode 4 as a whole. Sandur_ continued to produce the weekly update images that acted as a cover for the blogs and a basis of content for the blogs.

This blog soon subsided towards Christmas and as activity from members was taken up by outside commitments. Similarly to T4P, the project lied dormant.
The Reboot
With the advent of Public Server 6 and a need for updates on a busy server, this project has been revisited and will be seeing a new wave of activity in the form of staple weekly updates, video content and other articles on whatever the writers are inspired to craft.
